25 990 voters had cast their ballot in the European Parliament elections in Estonia by 8 p.m. today

As at 8 p.m. today, 8 334 voters had voted at polling places and 17 656 voters had voted online in the European Parliament elections across Estonia. Altogether, 25 990 voters, or 2,7 per cent of eligible voters, have cast their vote.
In Tallinn, 4 032 people voted at 17 polling places, and in Tartu, 1 072 people voted at 5 polling places.
I-voting, or online voting, is open round the clock until 8 p.m. on Saturday, 8 June. Until Thursday of the election week, it is possible to vote in the centres of rural municipalities and cities as well as districts of Tallinn between 12 noon and 8 p.m. On the election week, from Friday to Sunday, all the 377 polling places of Estonia are open. By the election day, 9 June, all the polling places are open from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. More information on polling places is available at www.valimised.ee.
Last week, it was also possible to vote at the embassies of Estonia. The Estonian citizens permanently residing in a foreign state and the citizens temporarily staying there altogether cast 523 votes.
