Today, the elections of the 14th Riigikogu (Parliament of Estonia) are held. All 451 polling places are open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters can vote only in the voting district of their residence. The voter must bring a valid identity document, e.g. passport, ID-card or driving licence. It is not necessary to bring the voter’s card. A vote cast in advance voting (cannot be changed on election day.

Voters who are unable to vote at a polling place due to their state of health or for other valid reasons can vote at home. For that, the voter must submit a written application or make an application to vote at home by telephone to the voting district committee of his or her residence by 2 p.m. today at the latest.

39.3% of voters participated in the advance voting of the Riigikogu elections; 247,232 voted electronically, and 99,163 voted in voting districts.
