State Electoral Office is offering a training course on observing online voting

The State Electoral Office is offering a training course on the rules and procedures of online voting before the election of the European Parliament.

The course will take place in the form of a seminar three weeks before the election. The course will offer a run-through of the online voting procedures, explain the measures that ensure the security of the system, and answer the questions of the participants. 

The purpose of the course is to provide the knowledge necessary for a better understanding of the online voting process.

The course will take place over two days, 16 and 17 May 2024 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the State Electoral Office as well as online.

At the European Parliament election, it is possible to observe procedures of online voting where:

  • On 20 May 2024 at 10 a.m., the State Electoral Office will generate a pair of encryption keys that ensure the secrecy of voting. 
  • On 21 May 2024 at 10 a.m., the State Electoral Office will carry out a full check of the online voting system, i.e. a test run.
  • On the election day, 9 June 2024 at 3 p.m., the State Electoral Office will process the electronic votes and count them after 8 p.m..
  • On the day following the election day, 10 June 2024 at 10 a.m., the State Electoral Office will carry out a check of the integrity of the data in the electronic voting system.

The European Parliament election week will run from 3 to 9 June 2024. Online voting will begin in the morning of 3 June at 9 a.m. and end on the evening of 8 June at 8 p.m.
